Final thoughts on Cosrx's AC Collection! Dry, sensitive and acne prone skin. #TrymeReviewme
Hello everyone! This is my final blog post for the Try Me Review Me Event with Stylekorean and Cosrx's AC Collection!
I have used most of the products for about 12 days now and I have developed opinions on most of them and whether or not I will be continuing to use them in my routine.
So although I have only used the products for a little less than two weeks I have decided which products I will be continuing to use. I have decided to continue to use the calming liquid mild (will be using 2-3x a week for now), the blemish clearing serum, the spot cream and the acne patches. My favourite product out of the whole line is the blemish serum as it has the best feeling, results and the scent is the least abrasive in my opinion. I love the ingredients in the serum and think it's a great product! I like to use it at least once a day as I think my skin prefers not using too much tea tree but you can definitely use it both morning and evening if your skin allows it! Through this serum and another cosrx product I've been loving recently (I will be mentioning it later on in this post) I've learned that my skin really adores sunflower seed oil and it has been helping my skin out a lot!!! I also like the calming liquid mild as it has been helping with speeding up the healing of my acne and it seems like my skins texture has improved slightly after incorporating it! A big issue I have with my acne is that it often takes quite a while for it to heal and it tends to stick around quite long. After it does heal the redness and post acne hyper-pigmentation tends to stick around for even longer and it's very frustrating to deal with... right now my crazy break out has calmed down a lot and a lot faster than it usually would too. I have only been able to use the spot cream twice so far so I do want to try it out a little more to see if it helps but the texture is nice and it feels soothing! At first I thought it would be similar to Cosrx's centella cream and leave a bit of a white cast and can't be worn out but it blends in very easily and doesn't leave any colour behind so you can definitely use it in your morning routine without worrying about discolouration! Lastly, I love acne patches and especially when I'm super stressed out and my skin picking and touching happens they are great to protect the skin and acne from getting worse or infected!

My final thoughts on the line as a whole
As most of you know if you've read my last blog post or if you follow me on instagram (@lavelenabeauty) you'd know I'm a huge fan of Cosrx and brands that have products geared to those with sensitive skin (and steer away from harsh ingredients). Overall, I like that Cosrx made a line specifically for acne and incorporated a variety of ingredients that are known to help soothe, heal, speed up cell turn over and repair the skin. I especially love having propolis, green tea leaf water, sunflower oil, niacinamide and rh-oligopeptide-1/EGF! On the downside, I do not really appreciate that all of the products except for the acne patches have quite strong fragrance to them. To be fair, I have made an effort to avoid fragrance and haven't had many products with fragrance in them for quite awhile so any kind of fragrance seems more invasive than it would if you are used to using fragrance. I'm also not a fan of the smell of tea tree so that was another downside. However, the fragrance doesn't linger too long for most of these products so it didn't bother me too much after applying them. I tried using all the products a couple times and consistently BUT I also tried to introduce each product slowly so my skin that was already very sensitive and compromised wouldn't react negatively, so I wasn't able to give each product the same time to test. My skin is usually quite reactive though so if something isn't right for my skin it usually reacts within a couple days and fortunately I didn't have any negative reactions to any of the products!
Products I will continue to use

Products I will not continue to use
The products I will not use after this are the cleanser (I gave it to my friend after only using it twice) and the soothing moisturizer. My thoughts on the cleanser are the same as they were for my previous post and same with the moisturizer. The moisturizer felt nice, absorbed fast and wasn't too heavy or too thin but the scent really irritated my eyes and head and I do think that it wasn't really helping my skin out the way the other products were. I also felt like it wasn't moisturizing enough so I think if you have dry skin or if you live in a cold and dry environment it wouldn't be the best (however, it would work well if you have normal to oily skin). I was going to let my boyfriend have it as he is looking for a moisturizer but he tried it on his hands and it irritated them so it could be sensitizing to some. It didn't cause any adverse reactions on my skin besides irritating my head due to the scent but I do think over time the mint extracts would irritate it the way it irritated my boyfriends hands. So in general I think these two products would only be good for people who don't have sensitive skin! An alternative to this moisturizer by cosrx is their propolis light cream! I bought it around a month ago and have been using it for my morning and night routine and it's been amazing!! It makes my skin so soft, supple and dewy! My skin is mega dry and I almost never have dewy skin and it usually just looks a bit moist or dull.. but I actually get a dewy shine from this and my skin looks so healthy!!! It isn't greasy either and it isn't really thick or heavy too so if you're looking for a moisturizer from Cosrx but have more sensitive and dry skin I highly recommend checking that out instead of this one! If you have normal to oily skin and have a lot of issues with acne and your skin takes awhile to heal then I would recommend this though!
Final thoughts
Overall, I think this collection is well thought out and can benefit a lot of individuals with various skin types! I think those with normal to oily skin that don't have sensitivities to essential oils would get the best results but someone with dry and sensitive skin could also use these products as long as they aren't sensitive to the specific essential oils used in a few of the products. My skin is quite sensitive but I was able to use a majority of the products without any adverse reactions so I think others with sensitive skin will be okay. I personally don't like the smell of tea tree oil but it doesn't irritate my skin so if you know tea tree works well for your skin and you don't mind (or really like) the scent you'll probably like this collection!
I would like to thank Stylekorean and Cosrx again for allowing me this opportunity to try the whole collection! They are also gifting the best reviewer $100 in stylekorean credits which is also awesome and I wish the best of luck to everyone! I love both and look forward to participating in future Try Me Review Me events! If you have any questions feel free to comment or send me a message on instagram!
